When Chipmunk Music first began in 2022, one thing was really important to me: I wanted our classes to have their very own soundtrack. I loved the idea of using the same special songs each week, songs that would become familiar to our little ones. Songs they would begin to recognise, anticipate and, most importantly, love. So, one of the very first things I did was start writing our own music.
It began with a hello song and a goodbye song, followed by songs for tidying up, dressing up and, of course, a very special song to let everyone know that bubbles were on their way! I also wrote individual songs for each of our much-loved characters, helping to bring them and their adventures to life.
Over the years, our musical collection has continued to grow, with lots more original songs finding their way into our classes. Then, in 2025, something incredibly exciting happened: we released our very first album! Suddenly, the music that had filled our classes could be enjoyed by Chipmunk families wherever they were.
It was such a special milestone for Chipmunk Music, and for me personally. I love knowing that families past and present can continue enjoying our songs together at home and as part of everyday family life.
Music has an amazing way of becoming woven into our memories, particularly during those precious early years. It means so much to hear that our songs are playing on car journeys, around the breakfast table and at bedtime — or that a familiar Chipmunk song can sometimes help soothe big emotions when the world feels a bit overwhelming.
My hope is that these songs will always hold a special place in the hearts of our families. And perhaps, many years from now, when those tiny Chipmunks aren't quite so tiny anymore, a familiar tune will bring back happy memories of all the singing, dancing, bubbles, cuddles and fun you shared together at Chipmunk Music.
